Learn More about Reset Retreats

About

At our core we believe in growing and healing physically, spiritually, and emotionally

We believe in the power of healing and growing as a collective and community. Our mission is to help empower all women to learn and fully embody being their best self physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
We do this by purposefully stepping away to get outside of our daily lives so that we can be present, learn what, and learn how to Reset while engaging with others, exploring ideas, and finding clarity. We welcome people of all cultures, ages, ethnicities, and sexualities. Our goal is to help people unravel the complexity of life with the healing power of collective support—to live with more authenticity and joy, of which we all deserve to have.

Reset Retreats are gatherings that enhance the health and wellness for all women—with high return. You are welcome here. The only prerequisite to participation is a willingness to connect and a desire to enrich your life. Let’s Reset.

How to select your Retreat

We hold Reset Retreats every season — Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter.
We incorporate Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Yin Yoga philosophies which work within the seasons. Each Seasonal Retreat has a very different and specific focus/theme. (Read more below to learn on this!) This means that each season will effect us differently. We move our bodies in specific ways, we learn about the effect a season has on our organs, meridians (think-energy), and how we should be living our lives (think- what type of activity is suggested, what foods we should eat or not eat, how to find balance and harmony, and more)
A great way to select your Retreat is to learn what each season means and select your Retreat based off of if you feel balanced or out of balance with the season. Joining a Retreat will always bring you, your body and mind into a state of balance for the given season.

How we Reset

Our ethos are in empowering and supporting you. To set you up for the most success we can

We Reset physically, spiritually, and emotionally. We provide a variety of tools throughout your Reset, knowing that we all learn and need different things at different times, this ensures there will be something for everyone. Each retreat will have daily movement practices (your physical reset), sometimes two times a day with the morning practice being more vigorous and challenging to our body, mind, and heart and the evening practice being more supportive, restorative, and informative. The physical yoga practices include breath-work and meditations, for all levels with modifications as needed. Your entire Reset will have gentle prompts and reminders to “turn off” from the external worries of the world so that you can optimally “turn in'“ to the inner landscape of your body, heart, and life. The entire retreat can be seen as a spiritual experience. We always get out in nature for yoga, walks, or meditation. We believe fully in the power of nature and it’s healing properties. It’s often shared that one comes for a weekend away with like-minded folks but leave with the realization that there was a much deeper reasoning for the retreat that one only see’s by going through their journey themselves and remaining open to it all. Emotionally we reset through real, authentic conversations, signature workshops, and journaling. Giving everyone permission to show up fully as themselves and holding space for all to be seen, heard, and listened to.

Let’s take a look at Resetting with the Seasons

 Spring

Spring in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) is related to the Wood Element. This element governs our relationship to order, planning, and control. Wood energy also involves our physical and mental flexibility. If there is an imbalance in the wood element, the result is stubbornness, and narrow-mindedness like a rigid branch that cannot bend but will break instead. Wood element is a delicate balance of asserting and expressing our truths and preferences while accepting other points of views and processes without judgement.

Imbalanced Wood tends to suppress emotions, staying quietly rigid and inflexible in their views and behavior.  Likely to have episodes of explosive reactivity, stubbornness, irritability after suppressing for so long.

Balanced Wood is confident and intuitive, patient and able to express emotions as they arise. Able to express their personality instead of assert themselves, smooth and relaxed.

Is this Retreat for you? Ask yourself:
How am I with expressing myself? Am I allowing growth with patience and compassion and fully accepting myself exactly as I am?

Fall

Fall in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) is related to the Metal Element. It governs our ability to take in life and let go of the rest, making space for the new. Surrendering for true transformation. Fall is the turning point from the yang of summer, back toward the yin of winter.

Imbalanced Metal may be blocked from fully expressing oneself. Instead of being proud we have unrealistic, rigid expectations of ourselves and others- a perfectionist paradigm. Sometimes this is demonstrated in difficulty in letting go of emotional pain and dealing with grief.

Balanced Metal allows the process of letting go of the past in order to gain wisdom. They release attachments and form new bonds without fear of loss.

Is this Retreat for you? Ask yourself:
Have you been able to let go of seeking and attachment, forgiving oneself and others and releasing the past? Are you grateful and preset for what’s arriving in the here and now?

Summer

Summer in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) is related to the Fire Element. This element strongly relates to touch, intimacy and connection. Its’s through touch that we affirm friendship, warmth, communicate, give and receive, and share.

Imbalanced Fire can experience lack of self-compassion, self-love, manifesting in a need to ensure they are loved and have someone to love. They often feel lonely, or socially/sexually overactive (yin/yang). Inability to authentically connect but always searching to fill that.

Balanced Fire is loving, spontaneous and joyful. Life is full of laughter, fun and creativity. Feeling of being in sync with the self and others. Emotional warmth and radiance. Able to learn and grow with awareness and acceptance.

Is this Retreat for you? Ask yourself:
What has been giving me an authentic feeling of joy in my heart lately? How have I been dealing with disappointments and disillusionments in relationships, are they helping me to grow, or do I shut down?

Winter

Winter in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) is related to the Water Element. The wisdom of water is its incredible strength, it carves rock and shapes the entire earth, but without force. Water allows for adaptation to all of life’s changes, challenges and stresses.

Imbalanced Water tends to have excessive reactivity and emotional responsiveness (opposite of equanimity.) Fear, stress and anxiety drain the system of motivation, so they are unable to cope with issues that arise.

Balanced Water empowers us to govern emotions, rather than letting emotions govern us.
Water energy enables us to act effectively in regard to a problem despite emotional responses, from a place of stable clarity. To act consciously, rather than react unconsciously. Allowing feelings to be there, without suppressing or indulging them. They trust in the flow of life. They are motivated and thus flow around obstacles with a skillful balance of effortlessness and determination.

Is this Retreat for you? Ask yourself:
Do I know when to stand my ground and when to surrender? Am I making choices which deplete my vital energy, or allowing spaces to replenish and revitalize my system?

COVID-19 Health & Safety

When you’re ready to travel again, PineappleYogi Retreats is here for you. We have been working hard for each destination in which we travel to adapt the yoga and wellness retreat experience. While students safety and well being has always been our top priority, as we considered the new realities of travel in a Covid-19 world, we asked ourselves what more we could do to support you. While some of the things listed below are new, much of what is described here is not. We’ve always been about supporting you as a whole person. As always, your health and safety is a shared responsibility; one that we take very seriously. We have adapted the retreat experience to incorporate  the travel industry leading Covid-19 Health and Safety standards.

In terms of what we’re doing to protect you during a retreat, see below for what you can expect from PineappleYogi Retreats.

Other Covid FAQ’s

1. Is Vaccination required to participate?
The continued effects of Covid has prompted us to again update our health and safety protocols. Out of an abundance of caution, PineappleYogi Retreats:

  • Requires all retreat participants traveling with us for international retreats, after January 1, 2022 or later to be fully vaccinated. This applies to international retreats. We will continue to review and update our policies regarding vaccination and testing as needed. If you have a medical condition exempting you from getting vaccinated, please contact us.

  • Requires all retreat participants traveling with us to provide results of negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of the retreat’s start. See here for the testing site nearest you. You can learn more about at-home testing options that are approved for airline travel here.

  • Strongly recommends all guests get vaccinated before coming on a retreat regardless of regional entry requirements. See here for CDC vaccine guidance.

We cannot permit a person who has recently tested positive for Covid-19 or been experiencing Covid-like symptoms on the retreat. In the event that a person in our group starts to experience symptoms during the retreat, they will be immediately quarantined from the rest of the group. For international retreats, we will have some rapid Covid-19 Antigen tests available on site for an additional fee, which will help determine the next course of action/treatment for the person affected.

2. What happens if my retreat can’t proceed due to travel restrictions?

If PineappleYogi Retreats is forced to cancel or postpone a retreat due to travel restrictions after the trip had been confirmed, you have the following options:

1) Transfer your retreat payment (less any non-refundable costs) to the same retreat in the future, or to a different retreat within 1 year of given date. Tell us which retreat you choose and we will apply all remaining funds to your new booking.

2) Put your payment (less any non-refundable costs) on file as credit to a future retreat or event/class within one year.

Note: If you purchased travel insurance, you can file a claim with your travel insurance provider for reimbursement of the non-refundable portion of your retreat payment.

3. What screening procedures are in place at my destination?

Every international port of entry will have its own testing and/or screening requirements in place. If you have traveled through a country affected by Covid-19, you may be denied entry or be required to quarantine for a period of time. Before arriving at your destination, you will need to make sure you meet all entry and exit requirements. Many countries have put in place new entry measures due to the Covid-19 outbreak and these are changing daily. We strongly recommend that you check this information frequently. The link below has information on screening and COVID-19 per country.

International Travel Information for US Citizens

Update: (Effective June 12,2022) The CDC will no longer require air passengers traveling from a foreign country to the United States to show a negative COVID-19 viral test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before they board their flight.

4. Should I get travel insurance?

Yes, if you book an international retreat we highly recommend you get travel insurance. Travel insurance may cover your retreat package in the event you are unable to travel due to certain circumstances. PineappleYogi is not responsible for any non-refundable losses you may incur as a result of changing your travel plans or we have to cancel the retreat due to travel restrictions or border closures. This is where travel insurance can help you recover lost funds.

Pro tip: don’t wait until just before departure to buy your policy: do it immediately after booking your retreat for the best coverage options.
